No sound, i don't like some announcer telling me what moves i make, when i play a regular tournament at my local chessclub either :) >15) Does it bother you that Chessmaster 8000 requires the CD at all times? Someone already suggested settings for blitz and longer games, but a feature that made TheKing decide on a king or a queenside attacking mode. >19) If you owned Chessmaster 6000/5500/5000, what do you think of the interface >change for Chessmaster 7000/8000 (the "room metaphor")? Game status and Thinking lines >22) Do you think there are too many "Windows" available in the Game Room? As long as you can turn them off, i don't see any problem there. >23) What chess set/board combination do you prefer to use? When in shape: 1700 I have a couple of suggestions: 1: Make TheKing a fully functional Winboard engine outside CM, performing a CD check (like with Shredder) with book support for testing with Winboard. 2: Book learn! 3: Endgame TB support 4: Positional learning, so TheKing won't lose with the same lines..... 5: Rating in tournaments for winboard engines too.
