But that has little to do with chess positions from real games. It is definitely better in simpler endgames as it is more knowledgeable about which endgames are winnable and which are not. And that was the main change for 18.12... The search extensions no doubt slow it down. And they allow it to see more tactically. Whether it is better, worse, or the same, is an open question...
