I used that feature a bit when it first came out in CM6000. I played against
people in the 1800-2200 range, as I recall. It's a good feature for most
people, including people I've tutored in chess, but I don't use it myself any
more.

No.

No.

OK as is.

OK as is.

I think so.

Haven't used.

I DO play chess online. Haven't used CM for that purpose. I should try it
though.

I own several ChessBase engines (Junior, Fritz) but I own Chess Assistant
instead of ChessBase as my DB. I bought it because it's cheaper but I think
ChessBase would suit me better, GUI-wise.

I haven't used the classroom but I've recommended others (students) do so.

I haven't done this yet.

I just want a good a decent selection of 2-D sets that are each smootly scalable
to any size!!

No. Features like that are irrelevant to me.

No sound, usually. Simple sounds at most.

It bothers me '5'! It's off the scale. It's the reason I stopped using
ChessMaster! It would make all the difference if it no longer needed the CD
each time!

Yes (based on settings people here have attested to [e.g., CMFun]).

OK as is.

N/A

I liked it the old way better.

1280x1024. I'd use higher if I had the money for a huge monitor.

As I recall, the board, clocks, move list, analysis (sometimes), book moves
(occasionally).

I don't recall either way.

OK, I just ran CM8000 for the first time in many months. Here's what I use:

board: 2D Black & White Metal Small

pieces: Black & White Figurine Small

I wish these were smoothly resizable to any size. They look fine otherwise.

Smoothly resizable would obviate the need for fixed sizes!!

USCF 1983.
