You know, I've owned a zillion SCSI drives over the years, mainly for all the
Macs I've had (but also on PCs).  I agree that SCSI is better, but if money is
very limited, these newer IDE drives offer a whole lot of fast storage for such
low prices.  And now that Macs use IDE too, plus with FireWire, I've totally
given up SCSI.  (I use IDE drives in FireWire-conversion cases for external
stuff and plain old IDE for internal.)
