On the SCSI side, we can offer

Well it's a little bit more expensive. But for this, you can handle a couple of
hundred people accessing your drive via your 1Gbit home network. I just love
SCSI. ATA can not serve so many simultaneous users as well as SCSI. Or run 200
copies of Crafty at the same time....

Unfortunately, I am the only user of my PC and accessing tablebases with only
one SCSI drive seems not to justify this high price tag for SCSI drives when
trying to compete with one of those cheap ATA/100 "SCSI-spoilers". At least not
according to hundreds of posts on the web, such as
http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/if/comp.htm.

But, so what?! I will continue to support the SCSI effort. How about you?

Gregor

BTW: Fry's is selling CD cases for just 9.99 per pack of 25! - Well, you can put
your chess CD's in it. So, I should post this at CCC. Right?
