Are you sure that this is 1...Qf4, rather than 1...Qf5 (which was quoted as the solution for the original test position)? After 1...Qf4 2. Qe2 Bf3? 3. Qxe6+ wins for White. 1... Qf4 2. Qd6 Rxg4+ 3. hxg4 Qe3+ 4. Kf1 Qf3+ 5. Ke1 Qe3+ is only a draw. So after either 1...Qf4 or 1...Qf5, 2. Qd4? is simply a blunder. Simon > >Jim
