Junior's depth is not plies. The depth is only half plies from brute force point of view. depth 16 means only 8 plies brute force but Junior analyze most lines for more than 8 plies. Junior also jumps in the first iterations jumps of 3. When Junior knows the time control it stops these jumps near the end of the search and start smaller jumps. In analysis mode it starts with jumps of 3 and after some time stops it and does only jumps of 1. Uri
