And just so you know, they never ask your name. Just your zip code. :) I guess it is their legal right too, but you're right, it can be a bummer. Windows 3.1, 95, and 98 were probably the most pirated software in the world though. So it's not like it's unwarranted. Just a little story: The company I am currently working for had gone through about 10 buy-outs in the last 12 months. When all was said and done, these 10 companies had come together to make one corporation. Not a month after all these buy-outs were finished, MS came to our company and did a system wide audit. You don't want to know how much money we had to shell out. Needless to say, everyone at my company now runs "Belarc Advisor" on their computers, as to not have this happen again. >jm
