I don't consider this bashing MS.  It's a valid concern.

But I believe (and MS too) that if you get a virus on a machine with 95, 98, ME,
2000, or XP, the result will be the same.  It's just a *tad* worse with XP,
because of the open sockets.  It's not MS's job to keep the *bad* software out.

Fix:  Get anti-virus software, and always use a firewall.
