It is possible that crafty does more extensions

Here is some comparison between Crafty18.10(Crafty18.12) and Deep Fritz depthes
and you can see that Deep Fritz outsearch Crafty by more than 3 plies(Crafty
needed 17815 nodes to get depth 15 when Deep fritz needed less nodes to get
depth 18).

The difference is even bigger with longer times
Deep Fritz gets depth 21 with less nodes than the number of nodes that
Crafty18.12 needs to get depth 17
