ARGH. Does it happen on XP machines, I wonder? I wonder why on this Win2k box but not my earlier Win2k Box? Sigh. Thanks for the fast response. Maybe I *will* rebuild this as a linux box, and then I can run various forms of Windows in assorted windows with VMWARE. Meanwhile, I am sad to lose one of my old favorite programs. (I guess I can still play games, but I was really into tracking my improved rating) I suppose they'll have it fixed if it affects XP... Betsy (wishing the VMWare license for NT didn't cost $300...) PS you don't happen to have any hints about why, do you, DLL conflict or anything? Why would NT/2k affect a program variable like that?
