They are believed to be more accurate, as several thousand human vs. computer games were played to attempt to get a more "real world" result. Most of the personalities' ratings went down quite noticeably from CM7000 to CM8000. Some, however, even went up. Of course, the engine also changed drastically, so this has to be taken into account as well. jm
