(those are hard data to come by) 2 Are enough people aware that Fritz 7 (no mmx) are the engine to test against other engines? 3 Tests so far AFAIK have only been done with Fritz 7 and not Fritz 7 (no mmx) Ie i ran some 36 games so far using Fritz 7 against other engines and Fritz 7 scored 19.5 (40/40+40/40+40)now are those games not of any importance (aside from the fact that it is few games) next i will of course use Fritz 7 (no mmx) and maby there will be a difference good or bad, but in the mean time all we can do is to give our first impresssion and that is what people are doing when they say Fritz 7 is stronger than... or Fritz 7 is weaker than... So far from watching most of those 36 games (not looking at the good result, but playing style and potential) i would say that Fritz 7 is stronger than Fritz 6 and Deep Fritz, this is of course just an opinion, not scientiffic evidence and should be taken with a grain of salt. By the way what Beta version was discussed in this thread? Regards Jonas
