One of those sites had a recent comparison of the Linux distributions done by PC Magazine I believe. The leading distros are Red Hat and SuSE. I'm a little partial to SuSE because of the Oracle certification effort and its compatibilty with our HP Unix scripts. And for a first time foray into Linux, I think it would be best to start with either Red Hat or SuSE. Steve PS Also check out www.suse.com and www.redhat.com
