How does Black respond after 4.Ng1? -- 4...Rxh7 is not a legal move -- I assume you mean Kxh7? -- After 7...Nb4+, 8.Kxd6 is definitely preferable to the King retreating back to d4. 8.Kd4 leads to Mate in 11, according to Chessmaster. It is DEFINITELY not Mate in 6 (as suggested by your line above). 8.Kxd6 is by far the best move, although it should be an easy win for Black after that: 8...Rd8+ 9.Kc7 Rxd1 10.Bxd1 Rf7+ 11.Kd6 etc.... jm
