I asked Frans Morsch at the Dutch Open Championship what the difference was between the two engines. He told me that he uses the MMX registers for bitboard functions, as one can program 2 MMX registers as 64 bit register. I understood also that the NO MMX version is closer to the Fritz6 engine than to the Fritz7 one. Ernst.
