When I last went to a chess club regularly (admittedly many years ago!),
the rule of thumb for piece values was:

Pawn 1
Knight 3
Bishop 3.5
Rook 4.5
Queen 8.5

Which gives much closer scores of 2R+N = 12 and  R+2B = 11.5
