Go up one level in this thread

On my Celeron 500 processor, which has MMX according to the documentation...

Fritz 7 (no MMX) is much faster than than Fritz 7 (MMX) as measured in kN/s.
Approximate speeds in a typical middlegame position:

Fritz 5.32 485 kN/s
Fritz 6 410 kN/s
Fritz Deep 425 kN/s
Fritz 7 (No MMX) 405 kN/s
Fritz 7 only 250 kN/s ?!
Hiarcs 7.32 55 kN/s
Junior 6 410 kN/s
Junior 7 405 kN/s
Shredder 5.32 110 kN/s

Also, I have discovered some very faulty analysis by Fritz 7 (MMX) in Infinite
Analysis mode, which can only be caused by a major "bug" in my opinion. So I
will not be able to trust Fritz 7. However Fritz 7 (no MMX) seems reliable and
appears to be very similar to Deep Fritz.
