Subject: Horizon 1.0 vs Fritz7: 11 - 7

Author: Ron Murawski

Date: 17:01:09 11/01/01

To all,

Posted in the WinBoard forum is a match of Horizon 1.0 vs Fritz 7. The results
for Horizon: 10 wins, 6 losses and 2 draws. The link to the original post is:
http://f11.parsimony.net/forum16635/messages/17431.htm

My questions are:

1. Am I being hoaxed?
2. Is Horizon really that good? (I think not)
3. Does Fritz7 have some gaping hole in its eval?

You will nedd to use the ChessBase interface to view the games. There are
substantial differences in eval scoring and search depth. Any reactions would be
appreciated.

Best regards,
Ron
