Subject: On the rating of chessmaster on the Gameboy System

It has been claimed on a website dedicated to handheld computers that the
rating of chessmaster on the gameboy computer system is about 1700 USCF
Nothing could be further than the truth.I think the claim was made
without knowing how strong a 1700 Uscf player actually is.Anyway here are
the few moves of a game played at 40/2 destroying this myth:
White:Chessmaster gameboy Black:Program X
1.d4 f5 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.Nc3 d5 5.PxP PxP 6.e3 c6 7.Bd3 Bd6 8.0-0 0-0
9.Bd2 b6 10.Rc1 Ne4 11.Qb3 Rf7 12.h3 Bb7 13. Rc2 c5 and now chessmaster gameboy
played 14.Nxd5???? this just drop a piece ...because of pin...With more
youngsters playing stronger chess one can only hope that the program
coming for gameboy advance would be stronger than this...Chessmaster on
gameboy probably has a rating of at most 1400 ,300 less than the oneclaimed
on the Website.
