I'm open to suggestion, but I need a hint as to what causes this bug! The
problem is that all tournaments are against the Chessmaster, which means
tournament play is useless. I don't know what to start tweaking. Any ideas?
(John, if you have any idea can you give me a hint, in code?)

This program *did* work fine on my previous Win2k box but not on this one.

I will upgrade to XP when Hell freezes over or when they remove all the
timed/dated/expiration/license/passport cruft, whichever happens second.

On the other hand, I am considering switching this box to Linux and running
VMWare, which would let me put in a Win98 virtual machine for games. VMware for
Win2k costs $299 to license, as opposed to $99 for Linux ($49 if you want the
one-OS version) so it's tempting.

Sigh, when I was working, I didn't have time to dismantle this box. Now, I am
afraid to take down my only working system.
