The problem isn't the software for burning, IE Nero or EasyCD Creator, but rather Windows XP makes some change to the IDE drivers that make it detect my burner as a reader. :( HP is apprently working on a fix, but they are terrible in their product support IMO so it might be out in time for Windows 2010.
