Hi, on which time is the new Gandalf 5 available. At the moment I have no contacts to Steen, maybe a beta tester or Ed can say more. Also interesting is the playing strength. After all my games is Gandalf 4.32f-h playing with ~2.575 ELO (Crafty with 2.500, Fritz with 2.600-2.625). For long time analyses is Gandalf for me the best program and Gandalf plays the shortest games against other "top" programs. Chess Tiger and Gandalf plays the most interesting computer chess on a very hight level. What thinking Ed or beta testers about the new version Gandalf 5.0. Gandalf 5 with 30 ELO more ? More interesting chess compare to version 4.32f-h ? Interesting is also to know more about changes in Gandalf. I believe Steen try to make his program faster (very important). Best Frank
