Go up one level in this thread

Wow says a correspondence player! If there is any
reason why i stopped corr chess that's because
   a) there are guys like Uri Blass who play chess shit but
who know how to use a computer. Result boring games
      very antipositional/antistrategical but tactical checked
better each year they have a new computer. In this case
      only deepfritz moves
   b) they play on with pieces less, just to win on time!! Ship
a postcard too late, or nowadays forget to email a few days?
      They claim *directly* time!

There are more claims on time in corr chess than in any other form of
chess (with exception of blitz level of course).

In short i stopped corr chess because of the bad mentality of the
people i played, their little insight in chess, and the completely
computer dominated playing styles.

Officially even till today no one is allowed to use a computer as far
as i know. Everyone knows that at the highest level of corr chess *everyone*
uses a computer.

Uri posts so many analysis of his corr games here all computer done games,
always antipositional played games which are based upon computer tactics.

Uri, you really believe that in a tournament where it is allowed to adjust time,
but where someone is so stupid to not build in a feature in an interface,
even using someone elses interface, to adjust time, that even after being
warned 50 moves before it happens that he should hurry up, and that
if this guy in the end forfeits
on time in a position where i would have played on regardless of his time
management, that it's bad if he forfeits on time?

How many games in corr chess did you win by cheating with computer? Probably
all games of yours, as you won't be able to even maintain 1300 level without
it. But more important: how many corr games did you win because
of a time claim from you?

Best Regards,
Vincent
