Fritz GUI seems to set probing (Hash Table Depth) as early as the 3rd ply this is with Crafty, fritz , hiarcs etc. I did notice that if i clear the hashtables and restart analysis that it would slow but not as much so I hope in the future programmers set their engines up to clear the hashtables after every move , atleast when running a test set....
