Hi All, Let me clarify since I am the one who penned the information you're all asking about. The information available on the Star Sapphire is preliminary and supplied by the manufacturer. That's all. Do not read into this as being imperical test data. The units are just going into production as we speak and know one knows, nor has seen a finished unit to test. To clarify, I stated in our little informational text "...according to Novag". Take this for what it is worth at this stage. Also it is never mentioned as the worlds fastest portable. It is a the fastest chess computer, not a pocket computer running a piece of third party software. The two cannot be compared. One is proprietary and designed for a specific market, and the other is a power computing device that software has been written for to play chess. The price differences should also be considered. Once again nobody can say with all certainly what the relative performace will be be until the devices are actually in our hands. If the Star Sapphire comes in close to its projected performance it will indeed be the strongest dedicated chess computer in the US market. It would be unfair to compare a chess computer to an iPac or PC running software. They are two different animals and the comparision has no real value. But we will have to wait and see what the overall performance will be. It is to soon to tell, all other comments would be pure speculation. Patience Gentlemen! :-) John LeVasseur
