I am using the following command-line:

winboard /cp /scp="comet-wb" /fcp="wcrafty xboard ponder=off"
/initString "new\nbeep\n"

and it works fine.

You should of course have all the necessary program files of crafty and
comet (the exe's, book files etc.) in the same directory as winboard
itself.

As you can see, I let Crafty and Comet play without "permanent brain";
the permanent brain (and some other parameters) for Comet are controlled
via the "comet.ics" file.

And: you'll need wcrafty.exe and comet-wb.exe, as these are the
winboard-compatible versions of Crafty and Comet.

Another tip: since 2 or 3 days a new, updated winboard-version of Comet
is available at Gambit-Softs Homepage.

Greetings,

  Heiko.
