What exactly is the function of ``Tablebase Depth`` in most Chessbase Chess programs? How is this different from the ``Cache Size`` that you can change in TBGEN.EXE or chssbase.ini? I've had two conflicting sources, one says that "the higher the value, the faster the engine will run (in the endgame)." Another explanation says "higher values tend to slow down the program." Which is which? Help :( Also, what are your opinions on what combination can lead to optimal performance in Blitz/Long Games as far as depth and KB Cache Size?
