Simply highlight the engine file right click on properties then click on version. Because the file version is called 6.0.0.76 don't mean it's Fritz 6. They could call it any version number they wish, so in this case they forgot to change the version number. Clearly any analysis mode or test suite should give a better idea as to how close it is to Fritz 6 than a simple file number. Besides which would it matter if it was called Fritz 6 and was an update to an earlier version. You still get the engine as a bonus. >Now that Fritz 7 (420 KB) is apparently buggy (as many say), what do we really >get for our money? >I am disappointed but may still buy Fritz 7. You get TWO very strong engines and a new GUI to which there will soon be a patch released. Sarah.
