Hi Sarah,

well, to call it a bonus is maybe a little bit to much honor for ChessBase -
problem is, that you can't load Fritz 7 (NoMMX) in the Fritz 7 GUI when you have
a processor with MMX. If you have a processor WITHOUT MMX, you can't load the so
called Fritz 7 standard engine...

After some position tests, it seems that Fritz 7 (NoMMX) is quite near to Fritz
6, but gets different results in time. (Dependant on the position of course)
Fritz 7 standard analysis totally different. Afaik Fritz 7 (NoMMX) is the last
version of the Fritz 6 idea and the Fritz 7 standard - engine is something
totally new from Frans... It is the version he will go on to develop for the
future and for a first start in a VERY knowledge based engine, I think Frans has
done a fantastic job, the engine is initially on a level with all the tops. (If
up or down - who cares) It produces definitely different ideas in analysis and
seems to have much more understanding about strategics.

For future patches I hope that it will be possible to analyse with BOTH engines
under the Fritz 7 GUI because it's always interesting to compare the analysis
between those two...

Greets, Thomas
