We get only a single analogue POTS-line from their ISDN-2 configuration. Two years ago I did switch to another provider and things improved as you pointed out then. This time it did not seem to be necessary, but another problem accured: when a call on the other channel came in and was answered at the bar, our connection was sometimes lost. Sygate HomeNet sometimes locked up the modem in my Win98 system beyond recovery, so I had to reboot, which took a lot of time... PLEASE spare me your Win98 remarks! We can try another provider, although somebody reminded me, that things got a lot better/more reliable after you turned stand-alone. >Despite that isdn is on paper like 16KB/s or something? In principle a single ISDN-channel would be 64kbit/s (=6.4kB/s), but again we get only a single POTS-line with 33.6kbit/s connection. Theo (a Plain Old Telephone System user)
