I like Chess Assistant much better because it can utilize Rebel 9 as an
analysis engine. ;-))))

Seriously, I feel that DOS at VGA resolution is woefully inadequate for
presentation of the copious amount of information you can get out of a
chess database. Just imagine a tree, a chessboard, a gamescore and a 2nd
game, maybe also some other windows on 640x480 resolution ... A true
nightmare. Even the Windows programs have trouble to keep all the data
properly arranged on screen, Chess Assistant uses a particularly clever
task bar concept to manage the flood of database windows. So for me the
choice is clear: Windows is mandatory.

Besides, I would recommend anybody to wait for CB 7 until they make a
final decision ...
