Subject: The absolute best chess program!

Kindergarden: My dad is smarter than your dad. If you disagree we
fight!! CCC: My chess program is smarter than your chess program. If you
disagree we fight!!

And so Tascbase and CA are better than Chessbase. Since I have used all
these programs I feel I have an opinion. But I don't want to fight. So,
if you disagree I surrender. They are all fine programs! It depends on
what you use them for. I find Chessbase useful because of the way it
handles variations in conjunctions with some other useful aspects. The
other database programs have better functions for those who have a use
for them. Same goes with the chess playing programs. Very fine programs.
None of them should be bad mouthed. Obviously Fritz5 gives you more for
your buck. Rebel9 is great and gives more than other dos programs by
far. If you just like playing, you might want Rebel, or MCP, or Hiarcs;
but Fritz5 loads you with lots of extras that some of us can use. WHY
FIGHT! Be grateful we have so much good stuff to choose from. And, oh
yes, it is not that hard to analyse positions in Rebel9 using Chessbase
or Fritz5. But I don't want to get into that....
