Subject: FAO John Merlino - CM8000: Copying user files to another computer

Hi John,

I'm soon to be getting a new computer which is somewhat more powerful than the
notebook that I am currently using (i.e. going from a Pentium 300MHz to Athlon
1800). I am of course going to install CM8k on to this new beast and would like
to know the following...

Can I transfer my unfinished tournaments and my own CM8k rating and all
pertinent user files to the new computer without hiccups? I would imagine the
personality ratings on the Athlon would be calibrated higher because of the
power of processor, so would this interfere with any subsequent games on the new
computer in mid-tournament, and would anything happen to my own rating? Or
would it be best to start afresh?!

If it is OK, which files should I copy and transfer to the new system? E.g. Are
there any files outside of the 'Users' directory I should know about that have
some user information on it, like games won/lost/drawn etc?

Many thanks

Matthew
