I guess that the reason is that after generating tablebases the computer
compress them.
I believe that in order to generate the tablebases you need the uncompressed
version of the tablebases.

 And

It is normal behaviour of computers.
It is not easy to generate the 5 piece tablebases and generating all of them is
a result of monthes of work of computers.
