Is this such a bad thing?  I think it might work in favour of those people who
must take time off work to attend the event.

Yes, this is most disappointing.  Perhaps the ICCA tried to get the event held
outside of Europe, I don't know.  I'd like to hear their side of the story, or
perhaps they don't consider it an issue??.

Actually the timing and location of WCCC10 works out quite well for me as I
intend to be in Europe at that time, so hopefully I might attend.  Any guesses
on the number of rounds?  7 or 9 ?
