Why are you allowing 4 hours/round? I think this it too long. This seems unnecessary, with a 60 10 time control almost all games with be over within 2.5 hours. I note that the LONGEST game in CCT3 was 137 moves, this would take 2x60 + 2*(137/6) minutes = 2 hours 46 minutes. So it is much better to make each round 3 hours, so start times are 10am, 1pm, 4pm. This makes the day 2 hours shorter, and is important for those of us in weird time zones (eg. the last round at 6pm is midnight for me, but 4pm is only 10pm). In reality, most games will be finished in around 2 hours so people will get a decent break even with 3 hours per round. Note that there were only 6 games over 100 moves in CCT3. Also, in the case where there are 1 or 2 long games in a round you can usually predict the result of those games and make up the likely draw. cheers, Peter
