They could never achieve the same. It's over now. A computer has already beaten
the reigning human World Champion, you can't beat that.

For the general audience the matter is closed. No matter the mountain of bucks
you gather to try to do better, you'll never do it.

Because in order to get the same impact, you would first have to destroy the
image of the IBM victory, then get your own victory.

So it's simply worthless.

But obviously it was a good thing to fantasize about in this forum.
