It is possible to beat that Deeper blue beated Kasparov 3.5-2.5 If microsoft can beat the world champion 4-2 or better than it then it is going to be clear that their result is better than IBM's result. They will have to generate a clearly better program than Deeper blue in order to do it because I believe that the best humans learned from chess programs so they are better players today. Uri
