Power is a plus obviously but since there are too many unanswered questions like why it didn't see the draw weird things in the logs etc i think it is probably better to look at their first match in which any program today will still make the same mistakes as in game six. I've looked at some of these positions for hours. I would say that a chance to be "Better" than Deep Blue is to find a win with the "Greek Gift Sacrifice" from that game and to show it in the pv from prior moves , Uri had analyzed and Deep Fritz did not play Deep Blue's Nge7 yet there were previous mistakes and even dispite this move it wouldn't have made a difference. Don't you think that DB looked at the options? The only sure fire way to prove anything is to make a new Deep Blue and this will only happen with alot of money but i think that if all the programmers here got together they could "simulate" how the DB team "Said" Deep Blue worked.
