Due to the latest discussion concerning Nimzo 8 and it's strength, i have
decided to give it a run through the gauntlet, also since i am one of the many
(i think) that have not really used Nimzo 8 in my test's due to bad publicity,
correct me if i'm wrong.
Nimzo 8 will face the same opponents as did Fritz 7, Fritz 7 (no mmx) so there
is some kind of reference, it will use the same book as F7 (no mmx) did in it's
64 game gauntlet and all the conditions are equal on all other points.
I have set up Nimzo 8 with Default settings so there will be a fair way of
measuring it's performance, Shredder also runs with default settings.

Match setup for Nimzo 8 v Shredder 5.32:

10 games 40/40+40/40+40

T-bird 1.3 Ghz, 1.5 GB ram, Win2k
Nimzo 8          with: 64MB hash
Shredder 5.32    with: 64MB hash
Both engines using : General.ctg book
Ponder=off
Booklearn=on
Deep Fritz GUI
3+4+some 5 man TB's

Remember to refresh youself once in awhile, updaterate on my comp is 1min.

Regards
Jonas
