Well, that would be useful too.  No, what I mean was, suppose for each move in a
chess game, we have the each current board position given as an EPD, and then
the move that actually *was* made, we call either the pm or the bm.  This would
be useful (for instance) in parsing a large collection of super-GM games for
computer analysis.

It would also be very nice to see something like this for analyzing opening
books.  It would be especially helpful to analyze the "edge" of the book file --
look at every position where we fall out of book.  For that position, look at
what the epd is and the pm, and then analyze the heck out of it.  We could use
this for the purpose of finding positions that our chess engine will not
understand (despite their validity) as well as positions which are simply
gaffes.
