Beowulf gets 42sec on my Athlon 1.33, but there are 3 provisos;

(1) I use the original method, proposed by Bob Hyatt in a post below, i.e. I
do/undo the last ply of moves too
(2) I have loads of hash key update/undo code in the domove function which
obviously isn't used in the perft routine, but yet still slows it down quite a
bit.
(3) I do all EP stuff properly.
