Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not a computer technician don't understand
the terminology. I have a very fairly large (378 kb) HOSTS file, mostly to block
known advertising domains, and all entries are in the "0.0.0.0 domain" format.
It seems to work OK for me. There is also a "127.0.0.0 domain" format offered
which I've never tried. If anyone is interested, the relevant links are:
