An interesting thing to do would be to take hard problems (probably the Nolot positions are too hard) and see if newer software solves the problems faster than older software on the same hardware. That would show you what kind of improvement there's been in software. 'Course, you have to wonder which test suites the programs were tuned on, etc... -Tom
