It's a shame you specified C/C++, because good old Cobol allows you to specify
numbers of any precision you would wish for. Having said that, the Cobol
algorithms for handling this arithmentic are, I believe, very inefficient - so
you wouldn't want to use Cobol in mathematical problems requiring enormous
numbers of calculations.
