You were completely right. I believe all sensible people should
understand that the hash table advantage results in a very small
strength advantage, and which is probably ridiculous when compared to
the possible rating error.

So you have our complete support for what you do. I speak for myself, of
course, but I'm sure lots of reasonnable people around will agree.
