I am not promoting or defending the FIDE counter, and you certainly shouldn't
have any qualms about blocking it.  Of course a counter like theirs can never
discover your e-mail address or anything else personally identifible about you:
they'd have to buy that information from someone else.

Sorry, don't know you well enough to trust you.  And credit card numbers are a
different issue that have nothing to do with web bugs...
