Both of these terms are vague, but I believe FIDE has a formal definition.

That's probably classified as "Blitz" but on FICS would probably be called
"Standard".

LarsenVB is written in BASIC and I think it will probably go deeper than that.
At least, it will on my machine.  Usually around 8 plies in the early game at 60
seconds per move.
