That's very interesting. I've never heard that before. It seems to me that with functions like mid$(), etc. which allocate hunks of stuff on the fly, you would need some way to do GC. But obviously, there is something I have not thought of. At any rate, if it can be used for BASIC, I suspect it might also be possible in Java. BTW, Microsoft's C# should really be D#, because it looks a *lot* more like Delphi than C or C++.
